Darker than Black: World Without End is the story of the legendary Contractor John Doe, recounting his adventures from his first public appearance to the present. It was compiled from collective police reports, stolen Syndicate documents, and eyewitness accounts, as well as the memories extracted from the Doll found at the scene of his last known appearance. The current whereabouts of this Contractor, or the mysterious Deacon Cross, remain unknown.
